FITTER
Practical Training:- Marking outline gripping suitably in vice jaws, hacksawing, filling flat and square, filling surface use of try square, use of measuring and hacksawing along a straight line, curved line and a different section of metal, thread cutting, use of lathes.
Theory Lesson:- safety precautions (man and machine), description of files, material, units, metals, workshop calculation, and science, technical drawing and employability skill’s
Employment Opportunities:- factories, railway workshop, private workshop and self-employment, public and private sector.
The medium of instruction:- English/Hindi
Minimum Qualification:- high school (Elementary math and science)
TURNER
Practical Training:- bench work including filling, drilling, and thread cutting by hand. Sharpening of all kinds of metal cutting tools with their use and care. Laying out, checking, and measuring of jobs. use of measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dividers, vernier bavel protectors, etc. Extensive practical work on lathes, saperes planers, slotting machines, milling machines, grinding, hardening and trampering.
Theory Lessons:- safety precautions (man and machines) machines, metallurgy, trade knowledge, workshop calculation and science, engineering, drawing, employability skills.
Employment Opportunities:- production shops, factories ( public and private), general machine shops, tool room, inspection department, multinational companies, etc.
Medium of instruction:- English/Hindi
Minimum Qualification:- high school (with Ele., maths & science)
DRAUGHTSMAN (Mech.)
Practical Training:- Importance of lettering, the printing of letters and figures construction of the different types of scale, plane geometry, solid geometry, etc. working drawing of machine parts such as piston, connecting rod, eccentric, governor, crosshead, valves; safety valves, stop valves. Assembly drawing of pumps, drilling machine (bench type), applied mechanics, workshop science simple hydraulic machine stream engines all mechanical trades.
Theory Lessons:- safety precautions (man and machine), trade theory, workshop calculation and science, employability skills.
Employment Opportunities:- Industries all over the country and abroad, personal shops and business organizations, public & private sector.
Medium of Instruction:- English/Hindi
Minimum Qualification:- High school (with maths & science)
STENOGRAPHY (English)
Practical Training:- Practice in shorthand, practice in shorthand notes/passages, typewriting from handwritten/typed matter, stencil cutting, duplication typewriting tables with proper display practical exercise in letter drafting arranging files.
Theory Lesson:- knowledge of English grammar, composition, spelling and punctuation, rules of display spacing, paragraphing operations of duplication machine with special emphasis to stenciling, knowledge of reading different handwritings
Electronic Mechanic
Practical and Theory: Identification of electronic components like a resistor, capacitor, transformer, diode, transistors and integrated circuit. Assembly testing of power supplier, amplifier oscillator A/C and D/C current assembly and testing of a radio receiver, preparing of the tape recorder, VCR, etc. Digital Electronic and devices used in industrial electronics and digital circuits, workshop calculation, employability skill, safety precautions (man and machine)
Medium of Instruction:- English
Minimum qualification:- High School (with Science and Maths)
COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant)
Practical and Theory:- COPA syllabus contains three modules.
Module 1st:- Include history of Computer, computer hardware, and software concept and introduction to operating systems like MS-DOS, UNIX, WINDOWS and NETWARE, etc.
Module 2nd:- Include programming practice and technique, program logic and design, programming language, and introduction to business organization.
Medium of instruction:- English
Module 3rd: Includes office automation.
Minimum Qualification: High School (with English)
Electrician NCVT/ Electrical NIOS
Theory and practical:- for electrical joints, type of conductors and insulators, type of soldering and methods, preparing of magnets, types of house wiring and methods, A.C/D.C. motor repairs, generator, and alternators, synchronizing methods, transformers, pump sets, electrical appliance, etc. cell and battery charging methods, 3 phase, single phase, motor winding, 3 phase A.C. supply fundamentals transmission and distribution system illuminations, type of starters and uses, converting A.C to D.C. and vice versa.
